21st century teenagers are more complex than ever. One one hand, they face the same challenges that their parents once saw. On the other hand, technology and social media have drastically changed the way teens interact with the world, leaving parents often feeling at a loss to understand their child’s experience. Our therapist is experienced in helping both teens and parents to overcome the challenges of adolescence – old and new.
Our therapist has experience supporting teens in overcoming common challenges. These include:
- Depression and anxiety
- Social relationships and dating
- Bullying
- School stress
- Identity and “fitting in”
In addition, our therapist has experience working with parents who feel disconnected or unable to reach their teenage child. We work to help parents improve communication, understand needs, and set limits when necessary.
